Yoga is a spiritual discipline, not a religion. Yoga can be
practiced alongside ANY religion, or without any religion at
all!
Paisley Parvati Devi & Mianna Morrison invite you to join them
for a quarterly exploration of the 4 primary philosophies of Yoga,
and how they can be practically applied to our lives in a unique
way!
Throughout the year, each workshop will be dedicated to exploring
one of the following: Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Jnana Yoga (study),
Raja Yoga (practice), and Karma Yoga (service).
This May, we will explore Jñana Yoga, the yoga of wisdom,
knowledge, and scholarship. This “Self-study” can help us to begin
to know the Truth that lies within us all, and in this knowing, see
past the suffering and traps of ego-identification. We will explore
this modality through chanting & singing, discussion of Yoga
philosophy & scriptures, ritual, and practice. We will explore
how this aspect of yoga philosophy can help us uncover & heal
hidden aspects of ourselves.
This offering is donation-based with 15% of proceeds going to
support a local charitable organization.
Please bring your favorite comfy cushions & blankets to sit on,
a journal and pens, and tea if you'd like.
We will be at The Yoga Place on Wise Ave from 9 - 10:30am on May
28th, 2023!
