class and make your introduction to yoga enjoyable. This is also a
great course for current yoga practitioners who are looking to
revisit beginning principles or those who have been out of practice
and would like a refresher.
In this series, you will learn foundational poses that are taught in most classes with a focus on technique and alignment, while developing camaraderie with other students who are learning too. This course will cover:
- Poses (Asana)
- Sun salutations (Namaskar)
- Breath work (Pranayama)
- Basic history and principles
Learn the basics of working with the breath and enjoy asana practices specifically designed to open the body for better breathing. Sign up for one class or the whole series. Each class will be recorded to accomodate students who cannot attend the livestream.
Welcome: This short complimentary pre-recorded class gives you basic strategies for approaching breathwork, including various ways to position your body for pranayama practice.

Class Two: Anatomy of Breathing - learn about your anatomy as it relates to breathing.
Class Three: Find Your Breath Print - Each individual has a unique way of breathing. We begin with a gentle asana practice to prepare for inner listening, then move into various supported postures for a lengthy inquiry that will help us identify our breath print.

Class Five: Asana, Ujjayi and Sama Vrtti - Short movement practice followed by explanation and practice in foundational pranayama patterns.
