Self-Massage for Stress Relief: A Therapy Ball Workshop
May 30, 2020 - May 30, 2020

Currently many feel overwhelmed by the pandemic. Our breath might be tight or short or high up in the chest. We may not even realize how much tension we are holding because we are so distracted. This practice will give the opportunity to really notice the breath, the body, and the state of the nervous system.

Self-massage during times of need can increase connection with your body, promote relaxation and healing, and impact how you interact with others. In this 2-hr workshop, explore self-massage to expand the breath, soften the hip flexors, and stimulate your vagus nerve. Massaging these areas with the soft squishy Coregeous ball can create a sense of deep relaxation and calm.

This class is great for EVERYBODY! No yoga experience or massage experience necessary.

A Note from Shari
My intention is that students feel empowered to take self-care into their own hands by learning how to use the Courageous ball at home for self-massage and soothing the nervous system.

I personally hold a lot of tension in my abdomen which I think is common for many people who are self-conscious about their appearance. Using the balls to release this tension allows me to find ease in my breathe, better digestion along with stimulating a deep sense of relaxation.
