Monthly Satsang with Sam

Beginning Friday 6th October 2023, 7:00pm-9:00pm

First Friday of the month – 7:00pm – 9:00pm

We are excited to share a brand-new offering at the centre – a monthly Satsang led by Sam and consisting of a wonderful community of students – perhaps you’ll be one of them!

Satsang is a Sanskrit term derived from two roots: sat meaning true’ and sangha meaning “community”. It can be translated as associating with good people or simply being in the company of truth, and refers to the act of gathering with like-minded, uplifting people, especially those on a spiritual path.

The Satsang will take place on the first Friday of each month between 7:00pm – 9:00pm. There will be herbal teas available on arrival and an opportunity to meet other Satsang members and connect. Each session will include a guided meditation and spiritual teaching from Sam and an opportunity to ask questions, offer perspectives and explore the messages and concepts within each teaching together.

No prior knowledge of yoga philosophy or spirituality is necessary as all the teachings are designed to be accessible for people at any stage on the spiritual journey. All that is required is an openness to new perspectives and to looking at the world in different ways. If you have already explored spiritual topics, your prior insights and experiences will add richness to the Satsang and will be greatly welcomed.

The exchange for each Satsang is £20 and there will be 3 opportunities to gather with like-minded, uplifting people in 2023:

SPIRITUAL WARRIOR ONLINE SEMINAR COACHING SERIES

Im very happy to share with you my Spiritual Warrior Online Seminar Series and Coaching.
 
Having been on the spiritual path for over 20 years I've developed a spiritual practice that supports me in my continuous evolution and development to allow me to be a ‘Spiritual Warrior’.
 
The course is a combination of 3 separate seminars combined to create a technique of spiritual and energetic empowerment and exploration including Yogic breath work, spiritual protection and dream travel.
 
The online seminars are on Wednesday 7-9pm and as follows:
 
Seminar 1 on 15th May: ‘Gopala Kirya’ – I will teach you a powerful yogic breath practice to increase prana and vitality in the body
 
Seminar 2 on 29th May: Spiritual & Energetic protection and ritual – I will teach you how become your own shaman and create powerful energetic protection around you.
 
Seminar 3 on 12th June: The Art of Astral Travel and Lucid dreaming – I will teach you how to start to explore the astral realms in dream travel.
 
We will have a Whatsapp group and I will offer support to you through the 6 weeks of sessions to help you in your practice and answer any questions you may have.
 
You will also be provided with a document on each seminar with the key teaching points included.
 
This will be a powerful series, suitable for anyone looking to ’level up’ spiritually and become more powerful and established in your personal energy.
 
The first 2 seminars will give you the strength and energy to more effectively travel astrally with a strong energy body without fear of interacting with negative energies due to the strong energetic protection you have established in your own field and living space. Seminar 1 on 15th May: ‘Gopala Kirya’ The science of Yogic breathing practices.
 
In 2003 James took initiation into the Sudashan Kriya originally taught by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and has used this powerful breathing practise ever since as part of his own personal sadhana (spiritual practise). In this seminar James will teach his own ‘ Gopala kriya’ based on the Sudarshan kriya with a combination of different yogic breath practices to which makes a 20 minute practice, though it can be adapted to make it shorter if necessary
James has studied pranayama in depth whilst completing his yoga training in India and has added extra pranayama practices into the Kriya which further activates the cardiovascular system, balances the two hemispheres of the brain and charges the energy body for overall health and wellbeing.. Yogic breathing practises charge the pranic energy body which is essential for dream travel, astral projection and lucid dreaming.
 
 
Seminar 2 on 29th May
Spiritual & Energetic protection, ritual and an Introduction to Shamanism
 
This workshop gives you the tools to become more effective and powerful with your spiritual and energetic practise in day to day life and to help you to cope and flourish in the 'normal world' and to be 'in the world but not of it'.
As we develop our consciousness and raise our vibration we become more sensitive and aware of subtle non physical energies, both positive and negative. There are many parasitic entities, both physical and non-physical which drain and feed off our energy. It is therefore very important that we learn to create appropriate energetic boundaries and practice correct spiritual hygiene to protect ourselves in our day to day life to prevent this siphoning of our energy. We are essentially learning to become Shamans, learning to access and traverse the hidden realms of reality and to take power into our own hands. We in turn become sovereign free willed individuals as we break free form the matrix of control and domination ie mainstream society and the belief that the physical 3D world is the only reality.
In this workshop we will look at the world of energy, the dimensions and specifically the astral/4th dimension. Participants will learn how to clear their aura, protect themselves, open sacred space by calling in the 7 directions using both Shamanic and Kabalisitic method. We will use and learn various protective sacred geometry including the very powerful pentagram ritual (5 pointed star) and calling in the archangels and angels based on the Kabbalistic system and Tree of Life.
 
Seminar 3 on 12th June
The art of Dream Travel and Lucid Dreaming
In this workshop James will teach about the nature of dreams, the different types of dreams, how we can interpret them and how we can start lucid dreaming and preparing for full out of body experience also known as Astral Projection.
When we dream we are experiencing our infinite self, unconstrained by the limitations of 3D reality. Many indigenous cultures base their lives on the higher guidance and information received from the dream world.
Due to trauma, toxicity and a lack of awareness and energy most people have lost their connection to their dreaming self. By setting strong intentions, using relaxation techniques and treating sleep sacredly we can start to recall our dreams and then become more lucid and use them to our advantage gaining vital information and insight into our own lives.
The shamans of Mexico use dream travel as their primary form of spiritual practice and spiritual development. As we start to develop this skill we can enter into a world of infinite possibilities.

Yoga for Mental Wellbeing Workshop

This half day workshop explores how yoga teachings and practices can support management of stress and improved mental health and resilience. It combines an understanding of the mind and body from neuroscience and psychology with practices from therapeutic mind-body modalities of yoga, qigong and mindfulness. The result is an interactive and practical session, which includes:

  • Exploring mental wellbeing and distress from a yogic perspective.
  • Insights from neuroscience for understanding the stress response (& its opposite).
  • Evidence-based yoga practices for calming the mind during times of stress.
  • Practices for creating greater energetic and mental balance and equanimity.

The workshop format will include taught elements of underpinning theory from yoga, neuroscience and psychology with experiential practices of yoga asana, qigong, grounding exercises, breath techniques and meditations that support mental wellbeing. There will be a break for herbal teas half way through and yoga asana will take place after the break.

 

About Sam Alexander-Vasey - Sam is a wellbeing teacher and educator and qualified yoga and qigong instructor. She is currently training to be a Yoga Therapist with the Minded Institute, an international leader in yoga therapy for mental health. Her areas of particular interest are stress management, mental wellbeing and building resilience, and the utility of mind-body practices and wisdom traditions to live more vibrant, fulfilling and harmonious lives.
