Awaken To Rise: 6 Week Program to Self Acceptance + Self Regulation

AWAKEN TO RISE is a 6 week program designed to help you understand, acknowledge + integrate your spiritual process. In the modern world, it’s easy to forget how much your emotional, mental and spiritual side impact your daily life. We now know that these important aspects impact our health and wellbeing. This is the time and opportunity to show up for yourself in a new and empowering way.

When you are able to honour yourself this way, you start to shift into a place of self love, where ease + joy become staples in your day to day experiences. This program will help you understand why the same issues are showing up in your life and offer practices to assist you in releasing from these cycles. By diving into the courageous work of the soul, you will learn to self heal and empower yourself to live a better life.

Give yourself the opportunity to cultivate radical self acceptance + courage to let your true self shine! 

Each session is a combination of lecture, reflection, meditation + connection

You will learn about:

  • Fear + the masks we wear
  • Limiting beliefs
  • The inner child
  • The shadow self
  • Boundaries for self care
  • How to integrate spiritual practices

You will also learn a variety of powerful practices so that you can explore different techniques and find the one that resonates with your current vibration.

    • Breathwork
    • Energy healing

  • Daily practices for empathic/sensitive/intuitive people

SESSION 1: The masks we wear, the feelings behind them.

In this session, you will be introduced to a new way of looking at fear. By understanding the different masks we wear to hide from fear, you can start to build awareness around how you show up in the world. We will look at the different emotions we are trying to hide from and what powerful messages they are trying to offer us

SESSION 2: Limiting beliefs

In this session, limiting beliefs are introduced by exploring how you feel and what you believe to be true about yourself. Looking at your limiting beliefs shows you where you are holding your self back. By becoming aware of these self judgments, you can start to cultivate a new relationship with yourself and understand where you are actually (not) limited.

SESSION 3: The inner child

Working with the inner child is a powerful experience. This part of your subconscious harbours your suppressed needs. These suppressed needs are often the root cause of the problems that constantly show up in our relationships with others. By working with your inner child you have a chance to heal this aspect of you, mending the pattern of projecting your needs onto loved ones.  This practice teaches you how to self soothe and take care of your own needs. How empowering!

SESSION 4: The shadow self

The shadow self is a tough aspect to work with. This session ill be heavier than the others and there is a strong chance you will be triggered; but that’s kind of the point with the shadow. Triggers are treasures, showing you parts of your true self that you have suppressed so deep in your subconscious that the only way you can now access them is through your projection of them onto others. All the things that others do that make you cringe, that’s your shadow talking.

Although this session seems intense, it is quite liberating. Shadow work allows you to release major judgements, let go of grief and reclaim yourself in a powerful way. You deserve that.

SESSION 5: Boundaries + Integrations

Boundaries have personally been the most powerful practice for me in terms of reclaiming my self worth. When we place our boundaries with love and kindness, we practice the ultimate form of self care. This powerful practice will help you integrate all that you have learned and come up with a game plan so that you can apply all this wisdom to your every day reality.

This program will help you develop the leadership and emotional intelligence skills needed to intensify your focus, manage stress, harness creativity and improve resilience. As a result, people from all walks of life are gaining better self-awareness, improving communication skills and leading with compassion. It all adds up to a greater well-being and happiness.

Since 2000, the number of scientific studies on mindfulness has increased significantly. As a result of these studies, valuable insights about both the effects of mindfulness and the underlying mechanisms have emerged.

This program was developed to systematically increase mindfulness not only through mindfulness practice, but also by considering the underlying mechanisms of mindfulness at play. This program answers questions such as, “What happens when I meditate?” Why and how does mindfulness increase well-being? How is acceptance of emotions different from suppression and distraction? What are the effects of mindfulness and how can it improve my life?

This program offers experiential practices including the latest tools and techniques of neuroscience, psychology and the study of well-being. By addressing the most important elements of mindfulness, one-by-one, this program breaks down mindfulness in a comprehensive way. After completing this program, participants will have learned how to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives and have gained a deeper understanding of the essence of the construct itself.

SESSION 1: Attention & the Now

In this session, you will learn about the two most important building blocks of mindfulness: attention and the present moment awareness. The role of thoughts and their relationship with the present moment is introduced.

SESSION 2: Judgment

In this session, open awareness is introduced by addressing the evaluative nature of the mind. While open awareness involves non-judgment, countless judgments and evaluations cloud most of our daily awareness. By becoming aware of these judgments, an important obstacle of open awareness is removed. In this session, participants experience the judgmental nature of their mind and learn about the problematic aspects of judgments.

SESSION 3: Acceptance

The goal of this session is to introduce the concept of acceptance. Mindfulness promotes an accepting stance towards experiences. Rather than fighting or avoiding experiences, mindfulness requires willingness to experience them. Acceptance, however, is a complex and paradoxical construct. This session aims to clarify the essence of acceptance by learning to apply acceptance to difficult emotions and by explaining the goal of acceptance.

SESSION 4: Compassion

In this session, participants will become acquainted with their inner critic and by increasing their awareness of the inner critic and practicing self-compassion through meditation and self-caring action, they will learn to effectively cultivate a friendly and caring relationship with the self.

SESSION 5: Intention and Goals

This session clarifies the relationship between intentions and goals and how mindfulness plays a massive role in the fulfillment of attaining any goal.

SESSION 6: Integration

This session focuses on the ways in which mindfulness can be integrated in daily life. In this session, participants are invited to create a personal plan for sustainably incorporating mindfulness in their daily lives after completing this training.

Mindfulness FX 2.0 (Compassion 4 Week Series)

Self-compassion is the ability to turn understanding, acceptance, and love inward - toward ourselves. - Kristen Neff

Many people are able to extend compassion toward others but find it difficult to extend the same compassion toward themselves.

Research shows that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, coping with life challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and more satisfying personal relationships.

This 4 week series is a compilation of fourth wave psychology combining the skills of mindfulness and the work of Kristen Neff's self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional wellbeing.

We will practice using mindfulness to help us tune inward with kind awareness toward difficult experience (thoughts, emotions, and sensations). And incorporate self-compassion by bringing loving awareness to ourselves. Together, mindfulness and self-compassion comprise a state of warm, connected, presence during difficult moments in our life.

Self-compassion is an inner strength that enables us to be more fully human—to acknowledge our shortcomings, learn from them, and make necessary changes with an attitude of kindness and care. Self-compassion can be learned by anyone.

You will learn:

  • how to stop being so hard on yourself
  • how to handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • how to encourage yourself rather than criticise yourself
  • mindfulness and self-compassion practices for everyday life
  • how to practice self-appreciation

This 4 week series includes discussion of specific topics, experiential exercises, meditations, small group interaction and home practices.

If you are going through a life transition or a difficult time or just want to learn and practice the skill and art of Self-Compassion, this 4 week series is for you!

It is encouraged to have completed the Mindfulness FX Program, however, it is not a requirement.
