This is my first martial arts based class ever taken. At first, I was a bit intimidated by the nature of the class but joined any way as a challenge to myself. Though the Fit2Fight is definitely a challenging class, Bart made the ambiance very comfortable and motivating. The venue is very clean and one detail I personally appreciated was that Bart took his time in making sure the moves being taught were being enacted properly.
Initially, I found that the location of the place is a bit remote, but after attending just the first class, I could see it's going to be worth it and I'm ready to take on this challenge! The Fit2fight class not only shows self defense techniques, but also serves as a great workout to shape and tone the body, while it also helps with stretching of muscles not often used.
I was a little dubious about attending this class, as week after week I saw my work mates crawling in to work, stiff & sore. Well stiff & sore to me means that you've been pushed past your own comfort zone, and I love that. Bart is a giant of a man, with a dry sense of humor, which took me until the end of the second class to realize he was a big joker. He takes the time to give constructive criticism, but by no means in a mean way, he will have you laughing at yourself. I am exhausted in the 30 min class, and have twice arrived home and fell straight to sleep on the sofa before taking a shower, I know, totally gross urghhh. I have taken one star off, because for me personally, its too warm in the studio, as I have my own personal thermostat that I'm trying to regulate also. The studio is very clean. I actually look forwards to working out. Great job Bart!
I cannot begin to express how happy I am with this self defense kickboxing cardio class. I'm hooked! Our instructor, the owner, awesome and super motivational. So glad I let my girlfriends talk me into this.

I was hesitant at first to sign up for Tiger and Dragon self defense, because i could tell that it was somewhat martial arts based, and i have never done anything close to it in my life, and i had no idea what to expect. But when i showed up to my first class i was extremely impressed. The studio is located in the nice suburban area of Sunrise. The lobby is filled with trophy's and martial arts decor. There are comfortable black leather couches in the waiting room. Once inside the workout area, there is a safe place to put your belongings. There is also a vending machine for drinks and a super clean bathroom for use. The studio is quite large, it contains a boxing ring, work out machines, and a huge red carpeted area for practice. The carpet is very clean and the back wall is mirrored so you can see yourself practice. Bart Vale is incredible! i wont lie, i was a bit intimidated at first, but he was so kind and patient. He took his time to make sure i understood exactly what i was doing, and how to do it correctly. He is a great motivator and he has a great sense of humor. After just one class i felt like a brand new person. I was in pain for the next 4 days! But the good kind of pain. I have attended two classes and i already feel much more confident about being able to protect myself. I also stayed for the Fit 2 Fight class afterwards. That class was outstanding!! I haven't had a work out like that since...ever! I felt the burn from my toes to my shoulders. We worked out every muscle in our body in just 30 mins. Its definitely not to much for any one. A beginner or a seasoned athlete can take this class. If i can do it, anyone can! Thank you Bart, your the best!

This class was so impressive that I called my dad to sign up and I even left a review on Instagram! Bart Vale was so encouraging, patient and had an amazing sense of humor that helped motivate me throughout my workout! I have a back injury less than a year now, and I was really nervous about starting to workout again. I was the only student during the Rape Prevention/ Self Defense class and received one on one instruction. Bart Vale was detailed, respectful, and even taught me the vocabulary of moves while showing me ways to defend myself. From choke holds, blocks, and other self-defense moves, I now feel safer going out with my friends on the weekends to nightclubs! I stayed for the second class which is Fit 2 Fight and I got a full body workout from arms, to chest, to abs, to legs, to even positioning my feet the right way when I kick! There was one other student there and Bart Vale made sure to keep us laughing and moving! I was definitely sweating from head to toe when I left and I cannot wait until my next class next Monday! ~Krystal Young

The studio was neat and tidy. Bart got straight to business. He took time to make sure my form was right. It seems like a short class before going, but after working those muscles for a while, you'll be grateful it end. I was the only one for this class which allowed him to give me a lot of attention to be perfected. I think if I went more I could definitely perfect those. The climate was a little warm but you don't notice it until half way thru. I'd definitely go again. Thanks
