What a fantastic place to swim. Lovely clean lake. The choice of two distances - 250m or 500m. A cafe, changing cubicles, plenty of parking, wetsuit hire - there is everything you need to have a great swim. Everyone is really friendly and above all it’s a very safe place to swim. There are people on paddle  boards keeping an eye on all the swimmers. Highly recommend this gem is of a lake. Will definitely be back

Great place for triathlon training! I did 750m open-water swimming and really enjoyed the experience. Lovely atmosphere and a great way to build confidence in open water. I’ll definitely be back! 🏊‍♀️

My 1st ever open water swimming experience.
I found the whole process very easy to book. When I arrived staff talked me through everything which backed up what I had already viewed on the videos. So with bright swim cap and tow float obtained I ventured into the water which was surprisingly warm. It was comforting to see the life guards on paddle boards patrolling the water and not just sitting on the shore side. I have not swum in a long time but found an easy pace for me and managed to complete the 250m course without stopping.
I will certainly be back and hope that I will eventually complete the 500m swim
