I had my first coached session yesterday. I really enjoyed swimming with other athletes as training gets lonely. The session involved mixed paces and drills which challenged endurance and improved form. Morgan was super helpful and gave me a few tips to improve my stroke. Would recommend
Found the video analysis really informative, helped correct my stroke and Morgan was so knowledgeable.
I would really recommend this if you want advise on how to become more efficient in the water, with the aim of getting faster. Thank you

I was bought this as a Xmas present as I had signed up to do the Leeds Ironman. I did it last year, my first triathlon ever, and found the swim unpleasant, scary and extremely hard work just to get through it. I am a poor swimmer with no technique and didn't enjoy being in the water. I was a bit sceptical about what it could achieve in 90mins. It was brilliant, coach Morgan was friendly and professional and tailored everything to what I wanted out of it and to my level of knowledge and experience The video analysis was thorough and very educational with the analysis highlighting some clear issues in my swimming. After agreeing on a couple of major areas to focus we did some little drills and exercises to highlight why they would work. Then we got back in the pool and implemented them in the water. The difference was immediate, I went from feeling as though I was thrashing around a lot and not getting anywhere to actually feeling like I was swimming with momentum and much more fluid. By just making a couple of changes and concentrating on the techniques taught it has made a massive difference to my swimming. To put this in perspective I basically swim at 2:45/100m no matter what I tried or how much effort I put in, within a week I am now consistently at 2:15 and lower depending on how much effort I exert, . I may not be the fastest but in the space of a week with Morgan's coaching I've knocked about 15mins off my swim time and with more training I am sure it will come down even further.
If you are taking a triathlon or IM seriously and want to improve your swimming time or efficiency this is a must.

This new hobby is one of the better decisions I made this century. The site is on my doorstep which helps me and the whole set up works well. Staff are well trained and friendly. The clientele are a good bunch…and the place has a very sociable atmosphere. Things can only get better when all the facilities have been completed over the next couple of years. Try it…you might like it!!
This is my 5th or 6th visit to Lake Y, as a beginner open swimmer I've found the staff really helpful. The sauna tent is a great way of warming up after a cold swim on this visit! Can't wait until the site is fully developed with gym, lodges and cafe, it's such a brilliant asset to the area.
Crystal clear water, clean sand and a rubber walkway mat into the lake, lockers, outdoor shower to rinse off, changing rooms, hot drinks available and a FOC standup sauna to walk into for a blast of warm. Blissful Sunday-thank you
