Absolutely brilliant! What can I say about the Blue Lagoon and Evolve Endurance? This was my first season as an outdoor swimmer and I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome or more safe. We initially booked a private beginners session as a group to get to know the kit and how to acclimatise to the water but you dont need to do this, you can just book your first session and you'll be shown what to do when you arrive. Morgan and all the lifeguards team are great so I'm filled with confidence that they are watching out for all the swimmers when we're there. Complete mixed ability and ages so there's anyone from novices to experienced ironmen and women. Everyone is friendly so there's a great camaraderie and even on busy sessions there's plenty of room so you never feel crowded like Lane swimming. The lake is clean and there's plenty of parking. Im a complete convert to open water swimming so will be back as soon as the lake opens next season. Absolutely brilliant all round.

Beautiful lake and surroundings and a really friendly team. Thoroughly enjoyed my swim and would recommend Lake Y to others.

We had a fabulous evening last night thank you. The atmosphere, facilities, friendliness, service, pizza and effort that went in, it was all first class. We will be back for other events and swims throughout the year

What a wonderful evening - our first moonlight swim was very enjoyable. shame there was no moon ! who can help the British climate .  Pizza was super. Slight confusion as we thought the hot choc was included but that didn't prevent us from having one . It was actually really nice to sit around the fire on the beach with a hot drink rather than drinking our hot drink on our way home .  You should consider on non rainy days perhaps utilising the fire pits to encourage people to buy hot drinks and stay longer on site, rather than swim and shoot off.  Organisation was seamless. Perhaps next time have two saunas on site but I understand that increases your costs.  Look forward to reading about the Boxing Day swim with bacon butties Steve . Thanks Emma and Sarah

Unbelievable experience so well organised and the set up was flawless! There was wooden fire pits all around the new beautiful lake, brand new outdoor changing areas and quirky metal lockers, a beach area with deck chair set up and twinkling lights everywhere it really is so special. Had a fabulous pizza from Blooming Dough & the cafe were serving hot drinks such as hot chocolates with whipped cream and marshmallows.  The place that Doncaster has been waiting for!!! Antonia

I was disappointed;(  
As for the fire pit, it d be good if there are two or more at the beach? So there ll be more ppl around them.

Had the best full moon swim at LakeY so well organised; lovely setting with lights ,glowsticks,firepits. The  great sauna ,delicious pizza and went back to  my childhood days toasting marshmallows.Thoroughly enjoyed it thanks for a memorable evening and would go again such agreat atmosphere.

We went to the Moonlight swim event.  Great atmosphere, very well staffed.  Amazing food included in the price. We sat on the beach and ate pizza and marshmallow by the fire pit. Such a great facility to have so close.
