When I was around 6 I was on a tube water ride and somehow the tub flipped over and drug me under the water. This led to a serious fear of bieng in deep water and I never learned to swim. However as an adult I recognized its a life skill that everyone should have. The challenge was finding a time that worked between work, kids and having a class size that would make me feel comfortable. The Aquatic academy was everything I needed and more! Alex is an AMAZING teacher and very patient. The price of the 8 week class is the ONLY way to go. Most places Cough YMCA Cough was a $100 a week and this is half that. I definitely recommend for anyone of any age.

Cheryl is an awesome coach, she was so patient with my three year old daughter. She loves going to her classes.

Alex is an incredible instructor. He is clear, concise, and articulates exactly what you need to do in a easily digestible way. I’m very glad Alex is my teacher. He is helping me overcome my fear of the water and it’s all thanks to him!

Today was literally my first time ever conquering my fear of being in the water. Not swimming, just being in the water. Alex made me really comfortable. He’s a great instructor. I was surprised at how much was accomplished in one day. Ready for my next lesson.
