Fantastic session — I couldn’t recommend Jason highly enough. I went into the session feeling very anxious and nervous about open-water swimming, but Jason was patient, practical and personable throughout. He immediately put me at ease and helped me feel safe, calm and in control as I acclimatised to the open water.
Jason broke the session down into clear, manageable chunks and explained the thinking behind each technique brilliantly. He coached me on sighting and breathing, quickly analysed my stroke, identified the key areas I could improve, and gave me practical pointers that I could put into action straight away.
Most importantly, he built my confidence without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. We had a good laugh along the way, and he kept the whole session positive, relaxed and enjoyable.
I came away feeling far more confident and comfortable in the open water, with a clear idea of what to work on next. A fantastic experience — I’m already looking forward to the next session!
Just the 100s, 200s and 300s of threshold today. Great blast.
Tough threshold squad session this morning - wasn’t looking forward to it after 2 weeks holiday
I wouldn’t be able to do that sort of session on my own but with lane buddies and support of Jason I managed to finish the session ….happy with that :)
Another fantastic swim
Session from SWS this morning. Since I started swimming with the club around 3 years ago I’ve progressed so much that this year I was able to represent GB as a triathlete. I’ve also made some fabulous friends. Thank you for all your wonderful help and advice Jason Tait.
Merely a keen recreational swimmer, a bit fed up with people seemingly passing me with little or no effort. Bit the billet and booked 2 sessions with SWS. First session completed and wish I did it ages ago. Already putting things into practice and noticing a real difference. Thank you
Thursday Squad is great fun, technique session, along with some faster sets, just what you need to kickstart your day 🥳💦
A great rotation session with a big focus on catch and pull. Steady improvements.
Today was my 70th swim of the year (117th SWS) over 2 years and my fastest pool session to date; 3.3km at 1:42/100m! These milestones often get overlooked when we’re focused on big goals, but today reminded me how far I’ve come. Two years ago I could only dream of holding 1:4X pace for a full session, and now it’s becoming my norm.
Coach Tait threw a brutal set at us: 5 rounds of 10×25m sprints with a 200m recovery/threshold between each block. Working together in the lane made it fast, fun and seriously productive. I felt strong, in control, and ready to push. Garmin called it “unproductive” — but sometimes the tech doesn’t understand the magic of a good session. Proud of this one. Onwards! 💪🏻🔥 thank you Jason for all your feedback, support and some brutal squad sessions, it’s great preparation for my open-water challenges and my 8 *10k swims I have this year.
Great session...lost count of the 25m sprints after about 40! Will keep coming back.
Definitely a spicy set this morning!! 😮💨
