Thanks for another great session. The threshold set this morning that had me uttering some choice words under my breath has pushed me into a training status of ‘productive’ on my Garmin. You are forgiven .
Tough Tuesday morning lived up to its reputation - evil coach reappeared 👿- but swimming in squad gets you through these sessions, I would never do that sort of paced session on my own
Really interesting, structured session … plenty of sculling and dog paddle followed by longer swims so a chance to feel the technique on the swims.
When the coach asks for more, the swimmers deliver.
Tough set, made easier by the “never say die” attitude of the swimmers around you.
Great testing session to finish at RWBLC for the summer. Already looking forward to more pain in Lime Kiln in September- thanks coach 🥵
My second lesson with Jason was brilliant. He has taught me techniques to help with my breathing in open water and also sighting so I can track where I’m swimming! I feel more confident now having swum a good distance using front crawl. Some really helpful teaching points and so encouraging and enjoyable too!
Thank you Jason for helping me to get ready for the Canary Wharf one mile swim on July 4 and for giving me a lesson as your way of supporting the fundraising challenge.
Coach! This morning’s session was HARD 😮💨
Great session today
Jason, the insights you are able to provide during the open water 1-to-1 sessions you coach are invaluable. I learned so much during my recent session and all of your observations & comments are helping me to piece together what is going on with my stroke this season. The follow-up notes and video are so useful as a review of my stroke and highlight clearly what I need to work on going forwards. I would recommend these sessions, along with regular squad training to anyone wanting to improve their approach to open water & distance swimming. Thanks again 😊
Brilliant first session. Jason knows his stuff without a doubt and great facility. Can’t wait to start putting the teaching into practice!
