This is a review of Copper Etching kid's summer camp. This was a great way to spend a free week of my summer. You can make things from bookmarks and rings to bracelets and necklaces, and also a few of your own nick-knacks. You learn how to use things such as jewelry saws, torches, a rolling mill, and others. I look forward to taking other camps here. I would also like there to be a stone setting camp!
Ryan Kathleen Harmon was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas in 2011. During her stay there, she worked in the studio of renowned enamelist Harlan Butt learning cloisonne enamel techniques. In 2013 she completed studies at the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology with certifications in Industrial Casting, CAD/CAM Design, and Gemology, as well as becoming a JA Level II Certified Bench Jeweler. After, Ryan worked as a bench jeweler, utilizing CAD/CAM to design custom bridal pieces and family heirlooms for clients in Central Texas. She now works at Creative Side Jewelry Academy as Assistant Director of Studio Operations.
When she’s not in the studio, Ryan enjoys spending time with her family and pets, as well as cultivating her collection of cacti and succulents.
