This is a review of Copper Etching kid's summer camp. This  was a great way to spend a free week of my summer. You can make things from bookmarks and rings to bracelets and necklaces, and also a few of your own nick-knacks. You learn how to use things such as jewelry saws, torches, a rolling mill, and others. I look forward to taking other camps here. I would also like there to be a stone setting camp!

Valentina

Valentina Caprini (Verona, 1982) is a contemporary jewellery maker and teacher based in Florence.

After a Master Degree in Semiology, she completed in 2012 her BFA at the renowned  Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence, where she was tutored by international artists like Peter Bauhuis and Ruudt Peters.

Her studies of conceptual jewellery continued with a course exchange in 2013 at the Estonian Academy of Arts, mentored by Tanel Veenre.

In the Academy she was so fascinated by the ancient Filigree technique, that she decided to specialize in this special way of working metal threads, learning directly from the artisans of Campo Ligure (Genova, Italy), one of the most important place in the world still active for the Filigree work.
