Daniel was born in Milwaukee, WI where he first began his musical journey. Trying to find his musical instruments, he took lessons on piano and percussion until his 7th grade year when he began to learn the saxophone. Daniel and his family moved to Casselberry,FL in 1998 where he attended Lake Howell High School. Daniel chose to attend the University of Central Florida where he joined the saxophone studio under the direction of Dr. George Weremchuk. During his time at UCF, he participated in the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Marching Knights, Jammin' Knights, and joined Kappa Kappa Psi (an honorary music fraternity dedicated to service). Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music and began teaching in the Orange County Public School system. He has been an educator since 2011 and has taught Band, Piano, Orchestra, Guitar, Music Appreciation, and Technology of Music. Daniel completed his graduate work from Florida State University in the summer of 2017, earning his Masters in Music Education. When not teaching in the classroom, Daniel is an active member of the Boys and Girls club after school program, where he teaches jazz to his students. He is also the co-director of the Central Florida Community Arts Big Band where he also plays saxophone.
