We love Songbirds. Very sweet staff. My son takes drums with Thai. He is very nice and such a great instructor!

Trombonist Robert Harrover is an in demand and prolific artist. A Native Floridian, Mr Harrover enjoys a diverse and fulfilling performance career throughout the Southeastern United States and abroad. He received his early musical training at Stetson University , in the studio of Mr. David Schmidt and The University of North Florida in Jacksonville,Fl. While at UNF, he was a member of the critically acclaimed UNF Jazz ensemble 1, which was recognized as the winner of downbeat magazine’s “ Best College Big Band” competition in both 2002 and 2003 in which Mr Harrover played split lead and lead trombone. Mr Harrover then took a position at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay as a trombonist in the famed “ Mystic Sheiks of Morocco” brass group. He also was appointed adjunct instructor of trombone and co led the Jazz ensemble at Southeastern University in Lakeland,Fl until 2010. Mr Harrover holds an undergraduate degree in Trombone performance from the Lynn Conservatory in Boca Raton,Fl. Under the tutelage of Professor Dan Satterwhite. He is a frequent performer at The Walt Disney Resort in Orlando,Fl. As part of the Main Street Philharmonic and formerly the Grand Floridian Society orchestra. As an active freelance musician, Mr Harrover has performed with such great artists as Franki Valli and the four Seasons, Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis , Natalie Cole and Jackie Evancho. Mr Harrover has performed and recorded with many notable big bands such as The Orlando Jazz Orchestra, The Equinox Jazz orchestra, The Harry James Orchestra and the Michael Andrew Atomic big band.Mr. Harrover has toured the World as a musician onboard the famous luxury ocean liner the Cunard Queen Mary2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria . He is also an educator and soloist teaching clinics and individual instruction throughout the US. Mr. Harrover has performed in numerous musicals in his performance career including: Hello Dolly, Damn Yankees, A Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum , Sweet Charity , Cyrano DeBergerac, Five Guys named Moe, West Side Story and Song Of Singapore. As an Orchestral musician, he has performed with the Jacksonville Symphony, Orlando Philharmonic, South Florida Philharmonic , Symphony of the Americas and the Sunshine pops.
