We love Songbirds. Very sweet staff. My son takes drums with Thai. He is very nice and such a great instructor!
Savanna has always showcased her passion for music and putting on a show. If you asked her family they’d say, “she’s always been singing” and throughout her childhood she grew and truly began to realize what music meant to her and what it can do for others.
Savanna graduated with her Bachelors’ Degree from Rollins College. Where she focused her studies on Vocal Performance and Music Business. While attending Rollins, she familiarized herself with Classical and Contemporary vocal techniques and offered a 30-Minute Solo Recital in her final year at the institution. Being a choir member has allowed her to grow and connect with several musicians, actively being a part of the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park and during her collegiate studies she was a dedicated member of Rollins Choir, Rollins Singers and Women’s Vocal Jazz. Some of her notable performances with these groups include Carmina Burana, Songs of the Season and more recently singing Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, “Ode to Joy” with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, all at the Dr. Phillip’s Center for Performing Arts.
What sparked Savanna’s interest in
teaching music was the time she spent studying abroad in early
2020. While taking some classes in London, England, she had an
internship with the British Youth Music
Theatre
where she attended auditions
working with ages 9-21 all over the city. Also, for two years at
Rollins she was asked to be a student tutor for her
collegiate-level classmates in the courses centered around piano
and keyboard harmony techniques. With these opportunities she spoke
with young musicians about the influence of music and how they
appreciate and have grown from their time in a creative
environment. Savanna aims to maintain this creativity and help her
students appreciate and love music as much as she does through
technique, style and tailoring each lesson to achieve her student’s
individual goals.
