I really enjoy Supriti's classes, Level 1-2. She clearly describes and guides us through each  asana. I don't always have to look at the computer to understand how to work through the asana/pose.  Thank you Supriti and High Desert Yoga for offering a great class via Zoom.

Melissa, I have to say thank you for that class last night. You will never know how much you helped me and it was like a light switch... from pain to less pain. I have been suffering from right hip pain for almost 6 months and extremely stuck fascia. That class was exactly what I needed. As a former yoga teacher myself, I know what I should be doing for my body and simply haven’t for no reason but due to some life events. Thank you for helping my body remember what it’s like to feel good. I appreciate your thoughtful class so much. Namaste!

Ah Laura, we understand how life can get in the way, and how magical it is when we take the time for deep, slow self-care. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

HDY lives in the spirit and belief: “yoga is for everyone.”  At HDY, there is both heart and wisdom in the wide variety of yoga practices and teachers. A place in which one can find community and oneself through the path of yoga. Descriptors of which come to mind via many of the teachers, workshops, and classes: dedication, devotion, tradition, skill, knowledge, warmth, integrity, depth, openness, kindness, support, generosity, acceptance, playfulness, joy, and inclusion. Zoreh and Kim, the, sun and the moon, the left and right, masculine and feminine have blessed us with their dedication and (com)passion for Yoga, and subsequent teachers at HDY, like pears on a string, offer we students a place to unite within and without. In deep gratitude.

Melissa's classes feel like being in an oasis after my usually busy Mondays. Love the teachings and her attention to the details. In addition, she always reads to us too; making our long-holds in Yin poses almost fun :-) and quicker flowing. Thank you for all your work, Melissa and for the insights into releasing our muscles and supply and revitalize our "overlooked" fascia. Please-please make Melissa's Yin classes part of our regular offering at HDY! Namaste to all of our teachers,

Amazing teachers and classes! If you really want to understand your body/mind complex through yoga asana, take Kim’s classes! His teaching is a true gift (whether you take his class live or remotely).

Kim pays so much attention to the important details and actually watches us! It feels like we are almost in a studio.
