I loved the long restorative class and both teachers were excellent.  They went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable and in the right position.  I think I will sign up for this any time it’s offered.  It was a great way to spend part of my day while on day 8 of the detox.  Great work ladies.  Namaste

Candika (Kim)
In 2004, Candika completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kashi Atlanta. She’s accumulated well over 1,000 hours of teaching experience since then. In 2007, she began to co-teach in that very same teacher training. She initially met her beloved teacher, Swami Jaya Devi, in 1998. After a few years, she also began to study with her guru, Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati. Both of these women have had an undeniably strong influence on Candika and continue to make a deep impression in her yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation. Most importantly, they've taught her how to live and help others with a full heart.
In 2010, she additionally began to study Anusara Yoga. This methodology of precise alignment and therapeutics created a platform from which Candika advanced her physical practice and teaching techniques. She primarily studied with Gina Minyard, completing the 108-hour immersion with her. Candika also completed the 108 hours of the Part 1 Teacher Training with the incomparable Christina Sell. Candika also studied other aspects of Tantra yoga, meditation and the Hindu cosmology, with Eric Stoneberg and is deeply inspired by Sally Kempton.
Her personal style of teaching is all about making the body strong, the mind expansive and the heart blissful. She encourages you to work deeply towards your edge while maintaining strong awareness. She teaches that healing begins within you first and foremost. This is because she has struggled with chronic pain since she was a teenager and it's what truly led her to discover the deeper healing of yoga. Candika offers techniques to refine your alignment, create strength and flexibility, and remind you to reconnect with your greatest sense of Self, all while maintaining your sense of humor and joy.
In addition to being in the yoga world, Candika is an accomplished Art Director/Graphic Designer. She works with businesses to create designs that communicate their needs and messages with a modern eye and sensibility.
