I loved the long restorative class and both teachers were excellent. They went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable and in the right position. I think I will sign up for this any time it’s offered. It was a great way to spend part of my day while on day 8 of the detox. Great work ladies. Namaste
Veena believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone, and strives to teach in alignment with this belief. She took her first yoga class in 2009 while looking for relief from a lifelong struggle with anxiety. Since then, she has continuously studied yoga and meditation. After attending the Living Yoga Training program at the Satchidananda Ashram in Virginia, she became 200-hour certified under Swami Jaya Devi in 2011. In 2016, she became yogahour certified, and completed her 500-hour training in 2018.
Veena credits yoga with giving her the tools and strength she needs for her day job as a Special Education teacher. She aims teach yoga in a way that is simultaneously soft and strong, weaving together clear alignment and and yogic philosophy for a grounded and accessible class.
