I have been participating in the Karma Yoga Spirit Matters book club for a couple of years. I only regret when I miss it! Susann and Shelley select such wonderful books to read and provide so much insight. They lead wonderful discussions that are always lively because of the wonderful people who show up, and the openness with which each person shares their thoughts, reactions and insights. For example, this month we read the Tao Te Ching. The discussion was so lively. While many read a common interpretation, several of us also read other interpretations. You can only imagine how lively and valuable the discussion was in compare and contrast. Like I said at the outset: never miss a month. Or if you do? Just read the book!
Danita is a certified Reiki Practitioner. She completed her
First, Second, and Master Teacher Degree certifications in 2012.
Reiki is a gentle and effective self-care technique, providing
support for deeper healing modalities. Energy blockages are
released, promoting balance, relaxation and calmness. Reiki has
been an excellent addition to her 11 year yoga practice. Beginning
in early 2015, in the spirit of service and being a light-house in
the community, Danita was blessed with the opportunity to serve as
Reiki volunteer at Beaumont Hospital’s Integrative Medicine
department, supporting primarily Oncology and Urology patients,
staff and caregivers. She is committed and believes Reiki, and
other holistic approaches, will become the main methods used for
maintaining good health. Danita feels honored and excited to offer
a touch of healing with her Karma Yoga family.
