I have been participating in the Karma Yoga Spirit Matters book club for a couple of years. I only regret when I miss it! Susann and Shelley select such wonderful books to read and provide so much insight. They lead wonderful discussions that are always lively because of the wonderful people who show up, and the openness with which each person shares their thoughts, reactions and insights. For example, this month we read the Tao Te Ching. The discussion was so lively. While many read a common interpretation, several of us also read other interpretations. You can only imagine how lively and valuable the discussion was in compare and contrast. Like I said at the outset: never miss a month. Or if you do? Just read the book!
Marianne Simpson is a grateful
devoted yogi. She completed teacher training with Katherine Austin
and has achieved inspired Anusara Teacher status. With her insights
of the body, she uses the poses to connect to the sublime on a path
to emotional and physical health. As her students, we learn to tap
into our body’s innate intelligence and energy leading to Source.
Marianne instruction is based on the rhythms of the heart. The
heart is our guide, leading us to alignment with the Universal
Blueprint. Marianne incorporates many teachings, including the
wisdom of Gurumayi and the virtues of the heart – compassion,
patience, forgiveness, love and humility. Her teachings are infused
with the strength of these virtues, continually leading us to
goodness, abundance, vitality and joy. Under her gentle guidance we
come to clarity and ease on the mat as well as in our daily actions
as they become one and the same.
