I’m Emily, an Idaho girl inside and out. I am so lucky to have been raised in an environment where I could nurture my passion for the outdoors, music, movement, and stopping to smell the flowers.
I was first introduced to yoga about 10 years ago, using yoga as cross training, but never picking up a consistent practice long-term after my favorite teacher moved away. I have been running races around Idaho and the Northwest for as long as my memory goes back and you could always find me running in the foothills, on the Greenbelt and training for upcoming events.
After experiencing a large amount of physical burn out and consistent running injuries, I decided it was time to take the next step in my self-care by recommitting to my yoga practice as I had years before. In the summer of 2021, I completed my 200 hour YTT through Hollywood market yoga and it has forever left a positive imprint on me. Recommitting to my yoga practice has provided the space to slow down, embrace the moment and listen to how my heart, mind and body are feeling from day to day. Yoga has allowed me to become more vulnerable and open with my feelings and to be more accepting of the parts of myself I always saw as flawed.
As a yoga teacher I am committed to sharing this practice with students of all ages and abilities, while providing a safe space for students to grow mentally and physically. I hope my passion for life and positivity shines through in the way I teach. When I’m not teaching yoga, you can find me hanging out with my dogs, traveling with my husband and growing food in our garden.
