Paul Nichols is the co founder and operator of Morning Light Studio. Paul has been a student of movement and breathing for more than half of his life, and has a strong belief that movement arts are the key to true self development, and that the quality of your breath dictates the quality of your life. With over a decade’s experience as a personal trainer, Paul blends his passion of eastern philosophies and western science to help you discover your true self. Paul’s values of excellence, integrity and an out come focused approach helped him to achieve personal trainer of the year in 2013. Throughout Paul’s career as a PT he has be passionate about relieving peoples physical pain by helping them move and recover better. Through this path he has become aware of how much the connective tissue in our body or ‘fascia’ plays a huge role in the quality of our movement. Working with the body’s fascia Paul is able to create real, immediate change for his clients to perform better, be healthier and have more energy.Paul is a dedicated student of Tai Chi, Kung fu and Qi Gong and a disciple of Grand Master Henry Sue founder of The Chinese Kung Fu Academy. Paul was drawn to Yin Yoga due to its roots being heavily influenced by the Chinese Tao Yin practices, Qi Gong and modern meridian theory. He believes that Yin Yoga is a wonderful practice to de-rouse the nervous system, relax the body and clear the mind. Yin yoga is the perfect compliment to our modern lives. It is one of the ultimate ways to calm the nervous system and gently stretch our tissues. The focus on the breath alongside working the body’s fascia is a win/win.Paul loves to teach. He believes that helping others is the way to continued refinement of your practices. As the saying goes ‘when one teach, two learn.’ Paul has also run meditation courses and Full Moon meditations at the beach.
