I’ve been attending this studio for a few months. I love the option to book and pay via the app, the ample selection of classes every day, and the feeling of serenity and calm in the studio. I’ve become hooked to my yoga practice and look forward to learning more from the inspiring teachers in the future.
Nicole found yoga many moons ago, she first practiced with her Mum in her teens. Nicole then continued to turn to yoga during various times of her life. Once she became a mother and life got stressful, crazy, and again turned to yoga as a space breath, for quietude, peace and simply Be.
Once her youngest commenced school, yoga became very important in her life and decided to deepen her practice by learning more about yoga philosophy. Nicole embarked on teacher training and never looked back, yoga has simply transformed her life for the better. It has held me when life has been tough, it has allowed her to heal & grow.
Nicole is a wife; mother to four kids and mother to two beautiful fur babies – who love practicing yoga with her. They are her world and allows Nicole to feel blessed to have them all in her life. Family life is busy and important to Nicole, so you will normally find her teaching either the sun rises or for mid-morning practices.
Yoga is not about creating the perfect looking shape in your body. Nicole's style of teaching is to encourage and guide you to really listen & honour your body. Notice and bring your awareness to how the pose (asana) feels in your body. With cues and variations to help you to explore, play & observe how and what feels best in your body. All my classes are suitable for all levels.
Nicole loves to set a weekly theme or focus for her classes which she carries throughout the entire week. The theme can be on body parts ie: shoulders, spine, hips, or elements; season, an inspirational quote or a journey over several weeks through the chakra’s or the limbs of yoga. Nicole loves to weave some yoga philosophy into her classes.
Nicoles morning practices are a Vinyasa Flow to make you feel energised, alert and ready for the day ahead. She loves to teach VinYin & Slow flow practices in the evening were slowing right down can help you to observe and feel the flow and enjoy the transitions. Escaping from the chaos and business of our outer worlds and diving deep within.
As we arrive at the end destination – savasana - Nicole likes to finish the practice together with either reading a poem, or from The Yoga Sutras – to leave you with something to ponder or inspire you and take with you, as we move slowly off our mats into the world.
Learning to Nicole can never stop – she takes part in regular workshops &/or yoga teaching training to keep inspired and her teaching fresh.
She has a dedicated practice and loves to meditate & journal daily.
