So glad to reconnect with Veena virtually. Veena is a great instructor. She takes her time and clearly explains each position so it is easy to follow virtually. Thank you Veena and yogacentric for making so many accommodations to enable us to get back to our practice.
Sara Asher, fell in love with yoga the first time she stepped into a yoga class. As her love of the physical practice bloomed, she explored many other limbs of yoga, and as her life has changed her yoga practice has expanded with her. Yoga has helped her grow stronger and more flexible in both mind and body.
Sara is a RYT-200 hour yoga teacher, registered with the Yoga Alliance, an Energy Healing Practitioner: Level 3 Atma Buti Sound Healer, Level 2 Reiki and Breathwork Coach. She has found great joy in both teaching and practicing many varied styles of yoga including Vinyasa Flow, Sound Healing, Restorative, Pranayama (Breathwork), Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga.
Graduating from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2008 with bachelor degrees in both Biology and Psychology, Sara has always had a passion for the amazing things that the human mind and body are capable of. Her deep love of anatomy goes hand in hand with her teachings, and also drawing inspiration from her own sports background in Volleyball, her vinyasa classes are an open, inviting and playful environment where she allows the students to challenge themselves and let go of the outside world once they step on the mat. Sara leads vinyasa classes to have students engage their breath and find a deeper mind body connection, while moving through the yoga poses (asanas) safely for each student's body. Her restorative, yoga nidra and meditation classes are led to allow the body to release physical tension, return to a natural state of relaxation, so students can release the outer noise return to their own inner peace. In her Sound healing sessions and workshops she uses himalayan singing bowls to promote a deep state of relaxation, incorporates chakra work and many protocols to replenish the body, mind and spirit.
She wishes for all of her students to fall in love with yoga as much as she has.
