The monthly dream circle with Anne was very interesting for insight to your dreams and what they could be trying to help us with in our emotional waking life... it was a bit deep, but glad to have a small intimate space, Anne was great in holding a safe space for all of us to share. I will try to get to another circle soon!
I began practicing yoga almost 20 years ago to relieve stress and gain flexibility, though admittedly it was more from the belief that “I should.” I was too Type A at the time to realize the real, deeper benefits. But yoga slowly worked its wonders on my body, mind and spirit and it was this connection to self-care and acceptance that helped me let go of all the “shoulds.” Over the years, the philosophy of yoga became a source of strength, and I truly believe that everyone has a light to shine. I’ve had some wonderful teachers and I know that the best teachers are still the most earnest students. As a former biology teacher, I have learned as much from my students as they have learned from me and I bring this philosophy into my practice as a yoga teacher. When I’m not on my mat, I can be found spending time with my family, pets included, writing, beekeeping, working as a veterinary assistant, and volunteering at Manes and Motions Riding center where yoga is even practiced on horseback.
