Krista Wright found her passion for yoga over twenty years ago. Throughout those years, her practice was not consistent. She discovered hot yoga as a means to stay injury-free during her trainings for marathons. She began teaching yoga in Indianapolis over twelve years ago but attained her RYT 200 in Baptiste inspired yoga several years ago. Her greatest passion in life is empowering others to evolve into the best version of themselves that they can be. She loves to inspire others to encompass all points in their practice-physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Hands-on assist and sharing energy is also one of her favorite things about teaching! Outside of Yoga, she experiences her nirvana through hiking, nature and sharing healing energy as a Reiki practitioner. Her “crazy” is expressed through freelance writing as a creative non-fiction writer. Currently, she resides 45 minutes outside of Asheville in the Cherokee National Forest.

Meghan finds great joy in teaching yoga, though it is not anything she imagined she would be doing. Despite an early introduction to meditation and other Eastern practices in her high school years and participation in group yoga classes throughout college, Meghan remained a student of the teachings. It was only after her college years that she instinctively turned to yoga as a way to quiet inner turmoil and lead her on a path toward recovery. Now in the role of a teacher, Meghan humbly remains a student, always eager to learn and to share with her students the sacred teachings of yoga, the healing properties of essential oils, and the soul-stirring vibrations of music that accompany her teaching.
It was while in yoga teacher training that Beth began to understand the true transformation yoga brings to the body, mind and spirit, and how the breath is the gateway to all three. Her approach in teaching yoga is to add meaning to the asanas by applying the power of the breath to improve movement, alignment and mental tranquility. Beth enjoys teaching students of all ages and offers options for all skill levels.
Sometimes a light shines through a crack in the darkness. This is how Abbey came to yoga. After enduring betrayal, profound loss and illness, Abbey found happiness in her life. She met her husband, a native of Danville, Indiana, and moved from her home in Illinois to this charming community where Peace through Yoga has been established since 2015. Abbey had never practiced yoga in a studio despite being an active person. It took some time before she found the courage to enroll in a class and she hasn't looked back since. Abbey identifies completing Peace through Yoga's 200-hour teacher training program as one of the best decisions she has made. Yoga improved so many aspects of her life, not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually. Now she is passionate about helping people of all ages cultivate a love for yoga so they may benefit from all that yoga can offer them in life.
Kelly has struggled with shoulder and neck pain for about 20 years and Yoga had been recommended several times. Ultimately, she found her way to Peace Through Yoga because she wanted her two teenage daughters to have exposure to the benefits of practicing Yoga. After she and her daughters finished the 4-week Yoga Essentials for Beginners program, they were hooked.
As a teacher, Kelly enjoys helping her students with their individual goals and sharing all of the many benefits of Yoga with them.
Laurie is skilled in the practice of a variety of yoga styles, from the alignment-oriented Iyengar style to Vinyyasa and Anusara yoga. This blended background, along with her many years of experience and her passion for yoga, makes Laurie’s classes fun and engaging, as well as transformative. Although she takes her yoga very seriously, Laurie believes that a sense of humor with a sprinkling of yogic wisdom helps her students relax and enjoy the practice more. She is delighted and honored to share the gift of yoga with anyone who even has a spark of interest in yoga and the many benefits it offers.

Shannon is a warm, genuine “old soul” who describes herself as a forever student of Yoga. In her wellness career, she has a passion for promoting mindfulness and a holistic approach to well-being in the workplace. She loves sharing her learnings and wholeheartedly believes that no matter what is happening in the outside world, being on your mat offers you a safe space -- a space for connection, self-awareness and self-acceptance without judgement. A place where you can find peace and healing.
Nancy’s gently-guided practice focuses on creating a connection between mind, body and breath. She invites you to join her for a Slow Flow or Restorative practice and to leave feeling blissed out. Nancy knows, and she wants her students to know, that no matter how crazy the day may be, time spent together in class always evokes a sense of contentment as minds and bodies are placed at ease.
