Great environment, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I finish each class feeling uplifted in mind, body, and spirit.
Ashley first began her yoga
practice in 2002 by coincidence; because it was the only fitness
class her college offered that fit her schedule. It only took a few
classes before she was hooked on her teacher’s vinyasa flow style
and the amazing relaxation she felt after each class. She continued
to practice yoga as she finished her undergraduate degree and moved
on to her doctorate in physical therapy.
As she moved toward graduation
and clinical practice she found herself bringing in yoga poses for
rehab clients and decided to pursue her teaching certificate.
Despite beginning her teaching education in order to help her
patients, she became hooked on teaching in all settings. Ashley has
now been teaching for 7 years in studios, gyms and in her physical
therapy clinic. As her own self- practice has matured Ashley has
moved from a love of powerful, vinyasa style classes to recognizing
the need for slower, relaxation based, restorative yoga to calm her
crazy monkey mind and Type- A tendencies. With this her classes
have begun to incorporate additional restorative postures, longer
times spent in meditation and mindfulness along with a playful flow
with lots of anatomy and alignment cues.
