Due to some osteoarthritis and hypertension, I dropped down to Wednesday evening, gentle yoga, online class with Lisa. What a hoot. Lisa is so funny, yet so focused on everyone. Her encouragement has helped me make some decisions about surgery. I keep trying to encourage people to take advantage of her skill, expertise, attitude, and fun, will you?
Susanne Bulington began her study of Iyengar Yoga in 2012 in Memphis, TN. She is a Level 2 Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and RYT-500 with Yoga Alliance. Susanne is committed to teaching from her daily personal practice and regular studies with senior Iyengar teachers. Experiencing the abundant benefits of yoga herself, she strives to teach in a compassionate and encouraging manner that instills curiosity, confidence, and well-being. Recognizing the importance the Iyengar Yoga community has played in her life, Susanne has been devotedly volunteering since 2016 and is currently serving as the IYNAUS Continuing Education Committee chair. Susanne has an M.A in speech-language pathology, and has worked across the lifespan with children and adults with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. She currently works as a teacher and coordinator for the Southwest Mississippi Chess Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which promotes chess education in rural Mississippi. When not practicing and teaching, Susanne enjoys spending time with family, reading, and hiking.
