I really enjoy my experience with Zumba with Kim and Hot Yoga with Jasmin at Flow Motion. I find a sense of empathy and empowerment to be who I am. I am encouraged by my “own” progress and not that of every other person in the class. I'm cared for as an individual and it shows from owner Alyssa to everyone. It's a great place to start or restart your fitness journey.
Kelly personally spent twelve years in various styles of yoga
classes before her first yoga teacher training at Red Mountain
Wellness in Bellingham in 2011. Kelly studied yoga philosophy and
asana (posture) as a starting point as a yoga teacher. In 2014,
Kelly completed a residential teacher training in the Rocky
Mountains of Colorado at the Shoshoni Ashram. This intensive 200
hour Hatha yoga training helped expand her instructor background,
deepening her knowledge of safe and effective asana practice,
pranayama (breathing) and meditation.
Kelly believes in meeting her yoga students where they are at.
In her hatha flow classes she provides a safe and welcoming space
for people to learn the basics of yoga and grow at their own pace.
Kelly emphasizes breathing through a series of active and passive
postures to help students meet their edge and work towards greeting
challenge with more patience and compassion. As a musician and
yogi, Kelly is passionate about the healing benefits of music and
often sings and plays mandolin or guitar during the final resting
pose of savasana.
