In 2019 Lexi found yoga in a community gym in search of an extracurricular activity after quitting her 13 years of dance training. She quickly found a growing passion and appreciation for the practice but her newfound hobby was shortly outlived after the Covid-19 pandemic. Lexi took quarantine as an opportunity to further her passion for yoga through watching Youtube videos, and listening to guided meditations daily. The state of stillness she could find despite all the chaos in the world around her is what kept her going. Once studios opened back up, she quickly immersed herself into a more disciplined routine and simultaneously watched her chronic symptoms of anxiety and depression start to diminish. Lexi knew that yoga was her cure to finding internal peace. She is now a 200 hr graduate of Fuller’s Ytt and enjoys creating slow/gentle classes to help ease her students into finding mental clarity and stillness as well. When she is not teaching yoga, you can find her outdoors on her paddle board, hiking in the woods, or sitting by a lake for a picnic!
