I was not sure what to expect from this class except that Anna was going to teach me something new. She is such a good teacher and has a great delivery. We were doing breathing exercises laying down so all of the cueing was verbal. Anna's voice guided us gently though the class, and she encouraged us to me mindful and kind to ourselves. This was one of the most nourishing and enjoyable hours I've spent since Covid. This really was the next best thing to being with her in person.
If you have any interest in the healthful benefits of mindful breathing, I really recommend this class.
Lauren is a mom and former public school teacher turned
professional firefighter. She is a Libra and enjoys weight training
and running, beach bumming, reading and listening to podcasts, and
learning to play her harmonium. She has been involved in diverse
forms of movement and athleticism throughout her life and finds
yoga to be a form of physical and mental therapy that can be
practiced anywhere, anytime, with any body.
Lauren’s light-hearted yet challenging teaching style allows
students the space to discover new potentials and foster deeper
understandings of mind-body-spirit connections and universal
values. In class, she hopes her unconditional positive regard
enhances the shared experience of yoga and that students leave
feeling nurtured and stimulated after sharing space and a few
giggles.
Lauren loves being a student and teacher. Practicing since
2006 and teaching since 2019, her favorite forms of yoga include
vinyasa, hatha, yin, Jivamukti, bhakti, and SUPY. She pursued yoga
teacher training to not only enrich her personal practice but to
guide others in expanding their own personal capacities.
She completed her YTT-200 in 2019 at Purple Blossom Yoga
through Longwave Yoga with Mary Glackmeyer and Logan Wagenseller.
In 2020, she received her SUPY certification through Longwave Yoga
with Logan Wagenseller and Jessie Greenwell.
