Yoga has been a catalyst in helping me heal myself and find peace in each moment. In 2003 while suffering from PTSD, I had my first introduction to yoga, not through the hatha (physical) yoga we all know so well, but through pranayama (breath work) and meditation. These things came together full circle when I began the physical practice a few years later. As a dancer I have always found healing energy in movement but finally making the true mind-body connection has offered me the opportunity to truly experience healing. Although I originally began the 200 hour registered yoga teacher training in an effort to deepen my own practice and understanding of yoga, I find great joy in sharing what I’ve learned in order to help others heal. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to study more by doing a 500 hour training with renowned author Rolf Gates. Now I teach Rolf's curriculum as an affiliate of his teacher training school. My approach to teacher training is really to teach my students how to move through life skillfully no matter what happens.
It is my intention to offer intelligently sequenced classes that will leave my students feeling successful and challenged while strengthening their own mind-body connection.
