Sarah began her yoga journey back in 2008 when she enrolled in “Yoga for Singers” during her undergraduate studies in music education at WVU. She spent years fascinated by the connection of singing, breath, body and soul and began implementing mindfulness techniques throughout her time as a choral teacher. After relocating back to harrisonburg with her family, she found herself searching for a way to embrace her new role in motherhood while also reconnecting with herself. She quickly found a home practicing yoga at The Center.

Fueled by her own health and fertility challenges, Sarah enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and completed a health-coaching program in holistic wellness in December 2018. She is passionate about inspiring others to take an active role in creating their own healthy lifestyle. She believes that habits have a profound effect on wellness and has seen the benefits of yoga, meditation, and community-connection positively impact her own life far beyond what she might have imagined.

Sarah completed her YTT-200 hour training under the direction of Suzanne McCahill Perrine at The Center in 2018-2019.

When she isn’t happily chasing a toddler, Sarah enjoys singing in local events, experimenting with (mostly ;) ) healthy cooking, and playing in the garden.

She believes that the practice of yoga is one of the most beautiful expressions of body, mind & soul and looks forward to sharing class with others for many moons to come.
