Sam started yoga during his mid-life crisis at the age of 50.
With the help of the yoga mat and a good counselor, he’s now
enjoying low-impact exercise, a mind that can relax and let go, and
a new spiritual understanding of life’s beauty. Sam took the
200-hour yoga teacher training course with Suzanne McCahill Perrine
at The Center Downtown, and now teaches trauma informed gentle yoga
to elder men with a history of homelessness. He’s taken classes
from Vancouver Canada to San Salvador El Salvador and can testify
that yoga brings life, healing, health and peace the world over.
Sam's children often ask him to lead the family in yoga when
together on vacation. Now that is cool!
