Oh how I have missed hot yoga! Life and injury took me down a disconnected path from the healing that hot yoga always provides me. I love the value of yoga and what it does for our mind, body and spirit connection-the additional aspect of the heat is a game changer-deeper stretch is such a gift. The community here was both encouraging and inviting—I will be back and more on my routine here!
Unless otherwise noted Rommy's class temperature is 92 degrees Fahrenheit.
“I remember ‘doing’ yoga with my Mother as a young girl, and as an adult I puttered with it, but I never liked yoga until I tried hot yoga. I spent my teen years overweight and uncomfortable with myself, and then I battled depression and eating disorders as an adult, never feeling good about the skin I was in. Now, not only do I feel at home in my body and with myself, I am at peace knowing that I can maintain my health and vitality without consistent struggle and negative self criticism. Yoga is my complete fitness regimen and an intrinsic part of my lifestyle. I find that the philosophies of yoga have helped to expand and deepen my Christian faith. Teaching is what I am passionate about. Teaching yoga allows me to help others return to a sense of well-being that is often elusive in our culture.”
