I went to my first class Saturday and it was such a great experience. The first thing I noticed was how clean the facility was. I was given a quick tour and then was shown the main studio. For people who are more timid about the hot part of hot yoga don’t be scared! I did sweat but it
wasn’t a suffocating heat and honestly it just felt so good to
feel the warmth and then towards the end of class get a cool towel over your eyes! The moves were easier than I expected I would be able to do, which I had anxiety about but it was great! I enjoyed the low lit relaxing environment. I can’t wait to go this upcoming weekend. Also, as someone who shares custody of their kids the fact they have weekend classes really helps me out!
Unless otherwise noted Rommy's class temperature is 92 degrees Fahrenheit.
“I remember ‘doing’ yoga with my Mother as a young girl, and as an adult I puttered with it, but I never liked yoga until I tried hot yoga. I spent my teen years overweight and uncomfortable with myself, and then I battled depression and eating disorders as an adult, never feeling good about the skin I was in. Now, not only do I feel at home in my body and with myself, I am at peace knowing that I can maintain my health and vitality without consistent struggle and negative self criticism. Yoga is my complete fitness regimen and an intrinsic part of my lifestyle. I find that the philosophies of yoga have helped to expand and deepen my Christian faith. Teaching is what I am passionate about. Teaching yoga allows me to help others return to a sense of well-being that is often elusive in our culture.”
