Hi. My name is Alison. I am came to yoga through sleepless nights. Even though I was checking the boxes of doing 'the right thing' I would find myself unable to sleep at nights with a racing mind. The relief from an evening yoga practice was swift and merciful. Since that time, I have continued to study many aspects of yoga, often without even knowing that was what I was working on. When I took up running, I realized I needed something to help me get through the monotony of the miles and so I found myself actively studying meditation. I began teaching yoga in 2014 in Huntsville, AL after completing my Yoga Alliance 200-hour teacher training. I continue to study mindfulness, awareness and meditative practices. I continue to hold myself to the standards of the yogic lifestyle and, when I don't quite meet my goals, I pick myself up and keep on keeping on.
