Sara found herself (quite literally!) on a yoga mat last summer; and she both blames and thanks Mother Nature for the assist in reigniting her yoga journey! Partly due to the prolonged 90+ degree weather impeding her regular hiking of Indiana’s lovely forest trails, but also due to some health intricacies, she stepped her bare feet into the Breathing Space Yoga + Meditation studio and discovered the healing, peace, fearlessness and growth that can come from a devoted yoga practice.
The gratitude Sara felt in her heart for these gifts of yoga has inspired her to teach, in the hopes of both sharing the profound power of asana to help others and to humbly hold space for curious students the way her teachers so lovingly have for her. Sara completed her Yoga Teacher Training in the Spring of 2019 right here at Breathing Space.
Her teaching is rooted in love, openness, and deep compassion. She creates thoughtful, heart-centered sequences with full body awareness. Her classes are welcoming and mindful with a gentle intensity, focusing on non-judgement (of the self and others!) and presence; and might just be sprinkled with a healthy dose of woowoo and humor from time to time!
Sara’s wish, in yoga and in life, is for each of us to shine brightly enough to empower those around us to shine, too.
