I love this studio. I’ve only attended three sessions, but have loved every single one of them. I came in with severe anxiety, depression and PTSD. I came with the hope that these classes would help alleviate some of my symptoms. The restorative yoga with the sound healing helps to sooth my nerves and my nervous system. I left feeling relaxed with no anxiety. Jonah is an amazing instructor who makes sure each individual gets the practice one would find in paying for a private session. His brother Kyle works the front desk. They are both kind professional individuals who treat each client as if they were owners of this studio. I come all the way from Long Beach and I’m so glad the drive didn’t deter me from finding an amazing studio.
Teaching allows Susan to share what she has come to love and has made a part of her life. Susan is passionate about restoring someone to a greater state of health using all the tools of yoga. Susan has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. Her own personal journey of bone loss brought her to a deeper study of how the practice of yoga relates to our bone health. I love the whole body, natural approach that yoga has to offer for bone strength. Many of the benefits of yoga can’t be found in pharmaceuticals.
Susan has participated in an international yoga study that is indicating that yoga can improve bone strength for someone who has osteoporosis or osteopenia. This is an area of interest for her and she has lead workshops and classes on bone health and yoga in southern California.
Susan took her initial training at The Expanding Light at Ananda. This propelled her to do additional training and studying on the benefits of yoga for bone strength. Years later she studied with Loren Fishman both on and off the mat and became a certified Loren Fishman Method teacher. She has continued to practice his Classic and Second series poses. Teaching weekly Bone Strength classes in Southern California and leading Bone Strength workshops has been a joy. She is passionate about sharing the transformative aspects of yoga as they relate to the body, mind, spirit and the bones!
