Kristi’s classes are such a good workout! She’s always introducing new movements and postures that we don’t typically work on which I love. and I’d say her class is really good at building strength and endurance.
As a very high-energy, athletic person and a mother of 5 athletic children, I was finally cornered into doing yoga due to an injury. Yoga did not seem to be a fit for me. I had a great instructor, but I missed the endorphin rush that I received from running and playing tennis, and I also lacked the patience for savanna. Approximately 10 classes later, I was beginning to wonder how I or anyone maintained a healthy body without yoga. My range of motion was extremely limited in certain areas of my body where my muscles were overdeveloped. The relief that came with opening up those areas, gaining core strength and overall strength was exhilarating. Granted it took me about 6 years to tap into savasana. When I was finally able to find those peaceful moments of quiet between thoughts, there was a true inner quiet. I hope everyone will one day have an opportunity to experience that inner peace. As a graduate from Yoga Den's Teacher Training Program, my goal is to share what I learned through the practice with all.
