Born in PA, Joyce learned American Sign Language in elementary school to be able to communicate with the deaf students in her class. At age 10, she moved to a farm in Florida where she cared for chickens, ostriches, a goat, dogs, and her cat. Her favorite pastime was dancing and contorting her body imagining she was performing in Cirque du Soleil.
Joyce graduated from Harrison Arts Center Theatre department in 2003. While attending school there, she met Frankie Hart, owner of Satya Life Yoga, and first started practicing Yoga. She went on to graduate with a B.A. in Languages from the University of South Florida.
In 2014, she started working at Satya Life Yoga as Assistant to Frankie Hart. Joyce's passion for yoga has been filled with Aerial Yoga, YogaBarre, Core Power, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga, and Tai Chi and Qigong. She has completed both the 200 Hour and the 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs at Satya Life Yoga to be 500 hour certified. As a yoga teacher, Joyce desires to share the benefits of Yoga for the body and the mind with anyone wanting to practice.
