I have attended several Chakra Yoga classes with Sophia. She conduct classes that are both informative and interesting, explaining in detail all of the techniques, and why and how they are beneficial. I have personally experienced unexpected health benefits, including an improvement in my asthma symptoms, greater stamina and improved breathing, especially upon waking up in the morning. I urge everyone who wants to improve their health to attend Sophia’s classes.
Elaine (RYT 200) has been a yoga practitioner for 40+ years; having learned basic asanas
while watching Lilias Yoga on PBS in the ‘70s as a young mother of twins. She was hooked,
and even though her practice has taken several twists and turns through the years - it has
always been yoga that gives her love, peace, and tranquility. She currently works as a
non-profit mental health administrator, and has worked in direct care as a field case
manager and therapist. Her favorite style of teaching is a blend of vinyasa, alignment,
and longer hold stretches to strengthen the connection between body and mind. She enjoys
connecting with others and believes that the role of teacher is to always remain aware
and open to individual needs, and of course to maintain a fun and enjoyable atmosphere
for all levels of students.
