I highly recommend Wanda’s 40 minute Core Flow. It is the perfect balance of strength and stretch. Wanda worked my whole body and before I knew it the class was over. So fun and so effective. If you have not tried it, I suggest you do!! am hooked!!!!
My name is Kerry and I feel so blessed to be joining the SHINE squad! I completed my 200 hour YTT through Shine Power Yoga in 2019 and mentored with Noel winter of 2020.
Right before I finished undergrad at TCNJ, Empower Yoga (a power
yoga studio) opened in complex I lived in. I signed up for their
intro offer with a few friends as something to do during our senior
spring, and I was instantly hooked. I had a hot and cold
relationship with the gym all through college, and though I wanted
to move my body, I felt like I was doing so out of obligation and
to avoid judgement- going to the gym or running is something a
healthy person “should” do. Where running made me feel bored and
weak, the power classes made me feel strong and capable. Where the
gym made me feel judgement and a lack of direction, the heated room
and powerful instructors made me feel challenged and centered. I
knew when I was still thinking about yoga one year after moving
home, I had to buy a membership, and then began my journey with
My yoga practice makes me feel physically strong. I feel safe within the four corners of my mat to explore, fail, succeed, and learn without judgement. I feel emotionally clear- the heat, balance, burning muscles, and sweat do not allow my mind to wander. My practice is a pause, reset, and clearing of my mind to reenter life with grace and ease. I feel spiritually connected to God and his community through uujayi (breath) and vinyasa (flow). I can’t wait to breathe and flow with the Shine community!
