I love how Alexis does something a little different in each class to change up the routine. I find that some instructors do the exact same thing from class to class and it can get a little boring after a few weeks in a row.
My journey began in 2006 when I walked into my first yoga class at THE ZEN DEN . Before then, I was the typical gym rat, doing everything and anything I could get my hands on. What wasn’t working for me was my head..I felt like a hamster on a wheel, I couldn’t slow my mind down. Slowly I gave up all of my other workouts and just practiced yoga. And there it was, the mind body connection, Yoga became my medicine and the side effect was my mind slowed down and physically I looked and felt better than ever! I wanted to share this feeling and hence began my teaching journey. In 2015, I received my my 200hr RYT at the ZEN DEN in Margate, NJ. I furthered my education with a certification in The BARKAN Method Vinyasa. In addition, I have attended The Baptiste Art of Assisting workshop among several other yoga immersion trainings over the years. I love sharing my passion and helping my students to see how beneficial Yoga can be both mentally and physically.
