Connection is at the heart of Miky’s dharma or purpose—and connecting others to their purpose, their body, their breath is what drives and motivates him.
In the midst of a hectic London life, Miky discovered yoga—his practice began in a gym in Clerkenwell where he fell in love with the way the practice helped calm his mind, stretch the body, while still making him sweat. He soon became part of a small yoga community under Chris Magee (Mageesy), where he began to delve deeper into the physical practice.
In 2017 Michail relocated back to Australia for a quieter more balanced life—this provided the opportunity for him to nurture his yoga practice beyond the asana—and begin to find an understanding of the other 7 of the 8 limbs. He completed his RYT200H YTT at Elements Academy for Yoga & Movement.
Miky believes in a balance between strength and softness, courage and vulnerability, creativity and practicality—he brings this to his approach to yoga and embraces other disciplines such as functional movement, weights training and other sports and activities as part of a balanced lifestyle and practice.
