As a design professional, Laura loves expressing her creativity on and off the yoga mat.   She found discipline in her yoga practice following the diagnosis of a lumbar spine injury in 2005.  While focusing on strengthening her body and working through her pain with mindful movement, she discovered the mental benefits of yoga that extend beyond the physical.  Yoga has been a vital part of Laura’s life in maintaining her physical strength and flexibility, as well as a managing stress and anxiety.  She seeks to strike the mind and body balance between effort and ease in yoga and in life.  Her initial studies were at Virayoga in New York, followed by Urth Yoga in Los Angeles, prior to moving to Nashville in 2014.  In 2019 she received her RYT 200hr from Kali Yuga Yoga, studying under Leah Lillios King and Liz Mead.The practice of yoga has given Laura an enhanced awareness of mind, body, and spirit and she hopes to share this through teaching, helping students to find expression and peace through creative movement and alignment. Outside the studio, Laura enjoys designing, silversmithing, exploring nature, cooking and gardening. During private sessions, Laura will consider the student's interests, concerns, and areas of focus as she designs sequences that encourage students to explore and deepen their yoga practice.
