My yoga journey started in 2008 when my roommate invited me to a
community vinyasa class. The instructor was so lively and the class
so refreshing that I soon found myself attending weekly. But,
coupled with rock climbing and running, I catalogued yoga as just
another great workout. It wasn’t until a few years later, while
working on my Ph.D. that I found out just how special yoga really
was.
Graduate school was proving incredibly stressful and I
desperately needed an outlet, something to counterbalance all the
pressures and never-ending demands of school. After some careful
thought, I enrolled in a yoga teacher training program, assuming at
the very least I would get in shape. Through the teacher-training
program I realized yoga offers so much more than just a great
workout. It balances both mind and body and offers a sense of peace
and sincerity that I had never found before. I try to incorporate
this mind body balance in all of my classes and seek to provide a
complete, stress-relieving, and fun environment for all levels. I
would love to see you in class!
