The only improvement that could be made for the Candlelight Restorative Yoga & Meditation practice is to have it twice a month. It is a great 90 minute practice and you will have a fabulous nights sleep

Incorporating aspects from multiple forms of Hatha yoga including Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga aspects, Chi Gong and Vinyasa to create a unique class experience to increase balance, strength and flexibility. My goal is to leave students feeling strong and balanced, in both mind and body, to face the challenges of each day. Each encounter always has spirit, grace and a touch of silly sass.
I have been personally practicing since 1995. I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, registered with the Yoga Alliance and also Reiki Certified.
I have explored the various styles of yoga including Anusara, Iyengar, and Vinyasa and bring many aspects of each to my classes. My classes provide grounding in the foundations of yoga, working into a flow that develops balance, strength and flexibility. The goal of each class, for me, is to have the students leave feeling centered, calm and ready to face the challenges of everyday life with the strength of an open heart and mind. I was a single mom when I first started and if it wasn't for my town's Recreation Department having a yoga program, I may never had stumbled upon my life's passion.
I am a certified yoga instructor with my RYT-200 through Liv Yoga, registered with the Yoga Alliance, and I am also certified in Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga. I am continuing my education working on an Anatomy certification specifically for yoga and movement practitioners through Functional Anatomy Academy. I will continue to be a life-time student of yoga and sharing the knowledge I gain with my students, as well.
She is certified through 200-hour yoga teacher training, is trauma-informed, certified in Chair Yoga, and has completed level 1 and 2 for Sound Healing. She was drawn to yoga as a way to practice body positivity and acceptance of ourselves and others, and to find inner calm in our busy world. She has a Hatha/Vinyasa teaching style that she adapts to all experience levels. All are welcome. Kathy brings a unique element to her yoga and meditation classes by sharing her singing bowls during savasana to deepen relaxation and healing. She hopes everyone can celebrate themselves with each inhale that nourishes and empower themselves with each exhale that releases us.
Mea enjoys infusing yoga and meditation into her job as a Corporate Fitness Professional to help employees dissolve the stresses of work and sedentary behaviors. Her gentle and restorative style classes help to relieve mental and physical stress, taking care to always speak softly and pay attention to her clients’ needs. She is grateful for her teachers, both past and new, for their influence and knowledge.
“I believe there is yoga for everyone and my goal is help them along their journey to find their own unique connection with yoga.”
