Raised
by a yogini, Kylen was immersed in a yogic lifestyle from a
young age. She became interested in energy healing at 13, and
at 20 she trained in Bio-Energy Healing; a series of
non-touch techniques to gently heal the mind and body. After
7 years of practice, she found that many healing principles
corresponded with ancient yogic teachings. She then travelled
to Rishikesh, India, the birthplace of Yoga to discover its deeper
truths. After completing her 200 hr teacher training at the
Himalayan Yog Ashram, the connection between healing and yoga
became clear. She incorporates her knowledge of subtle energy
systems of the body into her teaching style to support the healing
and spiritual development of her students. Like her
teachers, she highly values simplicity, precision,
gentleness and acceptance of all people, regardless of backgrounds
or barriers. The first philosophy she teaches before starting
yogic practices is self-love: “Be very kind, be
very loving to yourself. From here, yoga begins.”
