Mandy created a comfortable environment for my introduction to yoga. I felt hopeful and confident to continue taking yoga instruction.
Erin Burke has always found yoga intriguing. Having done some
dance and gymnastics earlier in life, she thought it would be neat
to continue that movement into adulthood. After numerous joint
injuries that hindered other physical activity, Erin was pleased to
discover that yoga was accessible, soothing, and empowering – all
at once. She learned to be mindful of her physical limitations, and
that mindfulness practiced in yoga began to carry over in day to
day life. Yoga allows for constant growth and discovery. Like our
minds and our bodies, our practice is never the same. Erin tried
various styles of yoga before committing to a vinyasa-based
practice at Sound Method Yoga and completing her RYT 200 there in
2015. She is constantly amazed at how yoga seems to give us exactly
what we need, mentally, physically, or spiritually, and hopes to
help students discover that for themselves.
