I attended the Beginner's Vinyasa on 1/18/20 and loved it! The staff was super friendly, the studio was comfortable and clean, and the class was challenging. The instructor passed around consent cards at the beginning of class for clients to put on their mats to indicate if you gave consent for the instructor to touch you/guide you for corrections during the class - I thought this was super thoughtful and speaks volumes about the studio and how much they care about their clients.
Tamara’s path has been a long and winding one. It started back in 1998 when she became a group exercise leader, a.k.a., aerobics instructor and the motivation was all about looking better. She took her first yoga class in 2010 and was a part of Theresa Murphy’s last 200-hour teacher training group at One Tree Yoga in 2011. During teacher training she discovered a love of restorative yoga because it offered a balance to the busyness of life as a mom. She received her Relax & Renew Trainer certificate from Judith Lasater in 2011 as well. Tamara is a 500-hour Certified Yoga Teacher and 600-hr Certified Yoga Therapist, highly trained in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, and has received Reiki I & II attunements. She has chosen to specialize in the field of Yoga Therapy through the Phoenix Rising School of Yoga Therapy. One of Omaha’s most educated yoga teachers, she has been committed to wellness education since returning to college and receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in 2003. She is a current member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and is proudly pursuing certification through the organization to increase her Yoga Therapist certification to 954 hours.
